Our company began out of a love for the earth and the well being of our fellow brothers and sisters. Every blend of ours is loose leaf, as opposed to the tea “fannings” that fill most of the bags on supermarket shelves – a lower quality product that is left at the bottom of the tea barrel, which results in a bitter or less flavorful cup with a lower shelf life. In contrast, the Orthodox making method consists of four stages, after the tea’s hand picked: Withering, Rolling, Oxidation and Drying. Walking down a hidden wooded path one sunny morning, a butterfly fluttered past me, and I was struck by its beauty. I suddenly felt called to use this magnificent creature’s own four stage cycle as a basis for a company with self-transformation at the forefront.
As a tea and herb nerd myself, I truly believe that fantastic things happen when we care about what we put into our bodies, and take control of our health, both physical and mental.
